"Love is a light shade of pink" is a song by Haruomi Hosono (細野晴臣) on his first solo album Hosono House (1973). The song "Koi Wa Momo-iro (恋は桃色)" is literally translated as "Love is pink," but I think the translation doesn't express the taste the Japanese song originally has. It is always difficult to translate accurately cultural connotations each color has.

Love is a light shade of pink
(Haruomi Hosono)
It doesn't matter where here is
It would be nice if I forget how I got here
This smell of soil, this stink of paint
The wall is an ivory color
The sky is the shade of glass
All through the night
With emitting joyful songs
A wheel of fire rushes into the darkness
Playing tag with the red moon
It may be the road I walked before
A road along by a river
From behind the clouds
A town I once saw comes out
If it rains inside you
I hope to close my umbrella and get wet
This scent of rain, this smell of mold
The sky is a gray color
Love is a light shade of pink
It may be the road I walked before
A road along by a river
From behind the clouds
A town I once saw comes out
